Position Player of the Year: Daylee "Mua" Willams, Kamehameha, Jr.

The 5-foot-8 Williams proved through her play this spring that she is a bona fide five-tool player. The junior infielder led all of Division I with a .463 batting average and was tied for first with 10 home runs on the year. Williams collected a D1-best 31 hits and 30 RBI, which ranked third in the state. She had a stretch of four games during ILH play that saw her bat 8 for 14, with four home runs and 15 runs batted in, including an eight-RBI day in a win over Punahou in late March. Whether it was behind the plate at catcher or in the hole at shortstop, Williams provided steady, if not spectacular defense. Williams was selected to the all-tournament team at states and later as ILH Most Valuable Player by league coaches.

Pitcher of the Year: Taryn Irimata, Campbell, Sr.

The 5-foot-7 right-handed pitcher put together a simply dominant senior season this spring. Irimata, a University of Nevada-Reno signee, compiled a 15-0 record and 1.37 earned run average in the circle. She recorded a state-best 124 strikeouts against just 10 walks all year. Opponents managed just 51 hits and 19 earned runs in 97 innings of work. Irimata racked up a season-high 14 strikeouts in a complete-game win over Leilehua in early March. She issued more than one walk in a game just twice all year and never allowed more than two base-on-balls in a single contest. Irimata went 3-0 with 24 strikeouts and one walk in 22 innings pitched at the state tournament and was selected most outstanding player. She was also tabbed as the All-OIA West Player of the Year.

Coach of the Year: Shag Hermosura, Campbell

After a five-year drought, Campbell recaptured the Division I state crown this spring under the guidance of Hermosura, who has guided the program to four of its five state championships. The Sabers ran the table to the tune of an unblemished 16-0 record, including a 13-0 mark in league play that included an eighth OIA title. All season long, Campbell leaned on its ace pitcher, Taryn Irimata, along with eight other seniors to set the tone. Five Sabers were selected to the All-OIA West First Team, while Hemosura was recognized as Coach of the Year.
