Offensive Player of the Year: Kaleb Abara, Iolani, MF, Sr.
The senior midfielder led the state-champion Raiders with nine goals on the year. The 5-foot-8 Abara scored in seven different games, including five goals in a three-day span at the state tournament. He scored two goals apiece in wins over Waiakea and Kalani in the quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively, and Iolani's lone goal in the run of play in the title-game victory over Mililani. Abara was tabbed Most Outstanding Player of the state tournament.
Defensive Player of the Year: Parker Patterson, Mililani, D, Jr.
The junior center-back was a pillar for the Oahu Interscholastic Association-championship Trojans. Patterson anchored a stingy Mililani defense that posted shutouts in 13 of 16 games this year. Opponents only found the back of the net a total of four times. Patterson scored two goals, both of them in the regular season and had an assist on the game-winning goal in overtime against Hilo in the semifinals of the state tournament.
Co-Coaches of the Year: Grant Fukuda and Travis Watanabe, Iolani
With venerable coach Chris Lee on a year-long leave of absence, his longtime assistants assumed the reins this winter and helped the Raiders recoup from a 2-1-1 start in the Interscholastic League of Honolulu by going 7-0-2 the rest of the way. Iolani captured its first league title since 2017 and first state crown since 2014. It rallied from a two-nil deficit to a 3-2 win over Kalani in the state semifinals and came from behind yet again in a 2-1 title-game victory over Mililani the following night.
