Offensive Player of the Year: Skyler Vail, Mililani, MF/F, Sr.
The senior midfielder/forward scored a team-high 14 goals this year for the state champion Trojans. Vail found the back of the net in 10 games, including one in a state semifinal win over Punahou. He netted a hat trick in a regular season win over Waipahu and helped Mililani amass 94 total goals on the year. Vail was named to the All-Tournament Team at states and was later selected to the All-Oahu Interscholastic Association Western Division First Team. Vail will play collegiately at Midland University in Nebraska.
Defensive Player of the Year: Parker Patterson, Mililani, FB, Sr.
The senior center back was the unquestioned leader of a Mililani team that finished the season with an unblemished 16-0 record. The Trojans allowed only two goals all year and recorded a remarkable 14 wins by shutout, including a 2-0 win over Punahou in the state semifinals and a 1-0 victory over Iolani in the title game. He was selected to the state tournament's All-Tournament team and tabbed as the All-OIA West Player of the Year. Patterson, a repeat selection as All-Hawaii Defensive Player of the Year, is signed with Cal State San Marcos.
Co-Coaches of the Year: Sean Magoun and Mark Ure, Island School
The coaching duo led Island School, a small private school on Kauai, to its first HHSAA state championship of any kind back in February. The Voyagers put together a 9-1-1 record in the Kauai Interscholastic Federation and then won three games in as many days at the Division II state tournament, capped off with a 1-0 win over top-seeded Kamehameha-Hawaii. Island School put seven players on the All-Tournament Team, including Most Outstanding Player Micah Lindman.
ScoringLive's All-Hawaii teams honor standout Division I and II athletes statewide. Selections are made by SL staff in consultation with media and coaches.
