Player of the Year: Cameron Porter, Jr., Opposite, Punahou

The 6-foot-1 Porter was instrumental in helping the Buffanblu to its record 40th state championship. A year after Punahou was toppled by Kamehameha in the 2024 state final, Porter combined with fellow All-Hawaii first team selection Tanoa Scalan to put down a combined 38 kills in a four set victory. In three state tournament matches in early May, Porter was a steady producer for the Buffanblu notching double digit kills in each match while recording four blocks, five aces and 19 digs in that title run. He amassed 20 kills a season-opening win over Hawaii Baptist.

Coach of the Year: Rick Tune, Punahou

The Buffanblu won ts 13th state title under Tune, taking down defending state champion Kamehameha in the final match of the season. Punahou capped an undefeated run through the Interscholastic League of Honolulu with a trio of wins in states to finish with 18 wins against no defeats. Junior Cameron Porter and sophomore Tanoa Scanlan led the way offensively in the four-set victory over the Warriors in the state final, but the Buffanblu also got key contributions from setters Ty Kikuchi and Kahikina Marumoto (combined 41 assists, 9 digs) and registered an eye-popping 24 total team blocks to just 11 for runner-up Kamehameha.
