Head coach: Chris Midel (7th season) Offensive coordinator: Peter Haliniak Defensive coordinator: Leonard Furte
Players to watch: UTL Manuel Oros (5-10, 240, Sr.), DL Kahana Waipa (6-0, 200, Jr.), WR Daniel Vital (5-9, 150, Jr.)
Coach's words: "I think you can expect a better season than the other year. We have more experience, (whereas) we had a lot of freshmen on the team. We can't really focus on other teams, but we have to focus on ourselves and get better week to week to compete with other teams. I think it's going to be exciting for everyone as we've been waiting for a season." - Chris Midel
SL's take: Pahoa's first season in 11-man football was a tough one to endure for fans of the Daggers, who not only went winless, but were outscored by the opposition by a combined margin of 398 to 116. If there was anything to build upon from the 2019 season, it was the final two games: a 24-14 loss to Kohala and a 56-50 defeat in a shootout with Kau. Oros, who was on the OL as a sophomore, will be asked to fill multiple roles for the Daggers this season. Waipa, who played TE two years ago, and Vital were both freshmen in 2019, but will be looked to provide leadership for a young Pahoa team.
