Head coach/Offensive coordinator: Mike Kahale (11th season) Defensive coordinator: Jason Aiana
Players to watch: WR/DB Jaydon Kaupu (5-11, 165, Sr.), LB Cole-B Kaiama (5-10, 180, Sr.), QB Dion Augustiro (5-8, 155, Jr.)
Coach's words: "You can expect us to spread the field and use our speed and athleticism to our advantage. We hope to compete at a high level and contend for another league championship." - Mike Kahale
SL's take: The Farmers have been the team to beat in the MIL's 8-man ranks since 2014 and have won a string of five consecutive league championships. In fact, they have not lost an MIL game since Sept. 1, 2018, when they fell at Lanai, 44-16; they have won their last eight league contests since. Molokai upped the ante in 2019 by playing a couple of non-league games against 11-man teams in Nanakuli and Kamehameha-Maui; it lost to the Golden Hawks, 37-0, and were also shut out by the Warriors, 39-0. The early-season lumps paid dividends for Kahale's squad when it returned to 8-man action, as it averaged better than 30 points per game. Kaupu is among the more seasoned returnees this fall.
