Humidity slows Punahou Invitational

Melbourne and Kamehameha-Hawaii advanced in Monday's action at the Punahou Invitational, as humidity forced the postponement of host Punahou's opening round games.

Both completed games were moved to Maryknoll gymnasium due to high humidity levels, and the other two matchups, featuring Punahou I taking on Kalani and Punahou II facing Mid Pacific, were rescheduled to Tuesday morning.

Dane Pineau led the way with 20 points for Melbourne in a 58-43 victory over Maryknoll, and Kamehameha-Hawaii got 11 points from Jayce Carvalho in a 48-41 defeat of McKinley.

Here's the schedule of games for today, weather permitting:

9:00a - Punahou II-Mid-Pacific
10:30a - Punahou-Kalani
3:00p - McKinley-loser of Punahou-Kalani
4:30p - Maryknoll-loser of Punahou II-Mid-Pacific
6:00p - Melbourne-winner of Punahou II-Mid-Pacific
