Doi, Akau named to Baseball America top 100 prep list

Two Hawaii players were named the top 100 high school prospects list by Baseball America.

Mid-Pacific Insitute outfielder Marcus Doi and Saint Louis School catcher Iolana Akau are ranked 49th and 97th, respectively. Both have verbally committed to the University of Hawaii.

The online publication also listed 50 players to just miss the top 100. Waiakea second baseman Kean Wong, also a UH verbal commit, was on that list. His brother is Kamehameha-Hawaii graduate and former UH All-American Kolten Wong, now of the St. Louis Cardinals organization.
