Kapolei promotes boys' soccer assistants


Kapolei High has promoted three assistants to take over head coaching duties for the boys' soccer team.

Ryan Lau, Neal Sakaue and Mark Ishiii will share responsibilities as a head coach, replacing Bryce Kaneshiro. Kaneshiro has taken over as athletic director at Waialua High School. They have been with the program for 12 years, according to a press release.

Meanwhile, Kapolei also announced that it will be holding its third annual Oahu Interleaague Soccer Showcase Nov. 15 to 17 at the Hurricanes' stadium.

Interscholastic League of Honolulu contenders Punahou, Kamehameha and Iolani, as well as OIA contenders Mililani and Kalani will join host Kapolei for the three-day affair.

The schedule will be posted the week of the showcase.
