La Pietra notched their fourth win of the season with a straight set home victory over University High, 25-16, 25-19, 25-13.
After starting off the season with five straight losses, the Lady Panthers (5-6) have played solid volleyball of late, winning four of their last five matches.
"The girls played well, they came in focused." said La Pietra head coach Alicia Arnott. "As long as we take care of the ball on our side of the court... a win feels good, no matter who it is against."
With the win, La Pietra moved into a three-way tie for fourth place in ILH Division II play with three games left in the regular season.
The loss snapped a three-game win streak for the Jr. Rainbows (7-4), which included a win over previously undefeated Saint Francis on Tuesday.
