Paredes, Hala'api'api are OIA White's top players




Pearl City quarterback Kaimi Paredes and Kaimuki linebacker Siaosi Hala'api'api were named Oahu Interscholastic Association White Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, respectively.

Paredes led the White by passing for 1,504 yards and 22 touchdowns to lead the Chargers.

Hala'api'api was so prolific that he was named on the first team at linebacker and utility for the Bulldogs.

Kalani's Greg Taguchi was named Coach of the Year.

The selections were submitted by the OIA.
