Sadanaga, Stevenson top OIA Red West's best

Although his future is in baseball, Leilehua's Kenan Sadanaga is pretty prolific on the football field.

The senior quarter was named Oahu Interscholastic Association Red West Offensive Player of the Year.

Campbell senior linebacker Giovanni Stevenson was named the Defensive Player of the Year.

Sadanaga led the OIA Red in passing with 1,407 yards and 21 touchdowns during the regular season. He completed an astounding 70.5 percent of his passes. But he will continue his career in baseball at the University of Hawaii-Hilo.

Stevenson averaged double-digit tackles in nearly every game this past season. He was a third-year starter.

Leilehua interim coach Mark Kurisu and Campbell's Amosa Amosa were named the division's Coaches of the Year.
