Campbell's Kelsey named OIA West Player of the Year


Campbell senior Ashley Kelsey was named Oahu Interscholastic Association Red West Player of the Year.

The OIA submitted the all-star selections, who were picked by the division's coaches.

The 5-foot-11 outside hitter/middle blocker recently signed a national letter of intent to play volleyball at New Mexico.

Waianae's Kristin Lopes is the Coach of the Year.

Joining Kelsey on the first team are: Aiea's Kaala Leopoldo and libero Kelii Matsuo; Mililani's Jordyn Keamo, Inoa Fields and setter Kaila Kitagawa; Waianae's Kaitlyn Kaahaaina and Kapolei's Toe Motu. All are seniors except for Matsuo, a junior, and Keamo, a sophomore.
