ILH to play-off ties

First-round champion Mid-Pacific Institute will travel to second-round champ Punahou for the Interscholastic League of Honolulu softball title game at 4 p.m. Wednesday.

The winner will receive the ILH's seed for the Division I state tournament May 3 to 6 at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium at the University of Hawai'i. Both teams will represent the ILH in the state tournament.

In Division II, Sacred Hearts will play Saint Francis 3:45 p.m. Tuesday to break a second-place tie in the second round season.

If Sacred Hearts wins, it will play Saint Francis again on Thursday for the league's second place overall. Saint Francis placed second in the first round and winning Tuesday will clinch its position for second place overall.

The league's second place team travels to Kaua'i to play the KIF's runner-up for the final berth in the Division II state tournament May 3 to 6 at CORP and the RWSS.

Pac-Five is the ILH Division II champion after winning both rounds.
