Hall of Honor seeking applications for 2011 class


The Hawaii High School Hall of Honor program is now accepting applications for its rn2011 class of inductees.

Twelve senior student-athletes will be inducted after a thorough selection process May 14 and 15 by a 14-person committee of athletic directors, administrators, coaches and members of� the media.

The formal induction will take place at a June 5 Hall of Honor awards banquet at the Sheraton Waikiki. The program, originally known as the Nissan Hall of Honor, is now in its 29th year.

Selection criteria is based primarily on athletic achievement with character, academic record and community service also taken into consideration.

All applications and supporting material must be sent to the HHSAA office at P.O. Box 62029, Honolulu, HI 96839 and postmarked by April 27, 2011.
