Sewage spill causes postponement of Jan. 8 races

The January 8 OIA paddling meet at Ke'ehi Lagoon was postponed following the Girls Varsity race due to a sewage spill that occurred around 1:30 p.m.

According to league coordinator Lapule Schultz, the City and Country posted signs about the issue at Ke'ehi Lagoon around 1:30 p.m.,  and it was determined that the meet would be called following the conclusion of the Girls Varsity race.

The Varsity Boys, JV Mixed and Varsity Mixed races will be made up at the January 15, 2011 race.  Make-up races will be in regatta style and not long distance, and will be run prior to the start of the January 15 races.
