Kaiser tops Waiakea for third place


Kaiser defeated Waiakea in three sets, 24-26, 25-21, 17-15, to claim third place in the New City Nissan/HHSAA Girls Volleyball Division I State Championships.

Nikki Taylor had 9 kills and 2 blocks, and Haley Durham 8 kills and 5 blocks to pace the Cougars.

Waiakea's Morgan Rapozo had a match-high 11 kills in the loss.


Kamehameha-Hawaii sweeps Kahuku, 25-16, 25-20

In the fifth place match of the New City Nissan/HHSAA Girls Volleyball Division I State Championships, Kamehameha-Hawaii defeated Kahuku in straight sets, 25-16, 25-20.

Kalei Page led the Warriors with 8 kills and 2 blocks, and Serena Ah Choy added 6 kills and a block.

Ho'onani Apo led the Kahuku attack with 7 kills.


Pearl City tops Moanalua, 25-13, 25-18

Pearl City won the consolation bracket final, defeating Moanalua in straight sets, 25-13, 25-18.

Keani Passi led the Chargers with 4 kills, 2 blocks and 7 digs.
