Kapolei girls, Pearl City boys claim titles


It was an OIA sweep at the Billy Tees/HHSAA Bowling State Championships, as the Pearl City boys and Kapolei girls claimed the team titles.

Pearl City took the title with a combined team score of 8528, followed by Mililani (8466), Kalani (8167), HBA (8001) and Baldwin (7833).

Kailua's Austin Patacsil claimed the boys individual title with 1940 pins.

In the girls division, Kapolei won going away with a combined score of 7643, topping second place Punahou by 450 pins. Mililani (7037), Waiakea (7037) and Kauai (6986) rounded out the top five finishers.

Kalaheo's Tammi Sakaguchi won the girls individual title with a pin fall of 1718.
