Rainbow Warriors send seniors out in style with comeback win over UNLV

The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors posted its third win of the season, and sent off its seniors in style with a 31-25 win over UNLV at the Clarence TC Ching Complex Saturday.

A second half surge saw the home team out score the Rebels 24-12, on a pair of scoring passes from Brayden Schager, a Matthew Shipley field goal and an eventual game-sealing 34 yard rushing touchdown by Dedrick Parson.

Parson's led all ball carriers with 115 yards and a score, part of 167 on the ground for the Rainbow Warriors, who out gained the Rebels 167 to 139.

Schager completed 16 of 27 passes for 202 yards and three touchdowns, one to Zion Bowens, one to Caleb Phillips and the other a 15 yard connection to Tamatoa Mokiao-Atimalala, his second in as many games.

Logna Taylor recorded 11 solo tackles and an interception and Meki Pei added 10 total tackles for the Hawaii defense, who kept the Rebels' offense out of the end zone for the entire second half.
