WAIPAHU — To the ship the Marauders go.
No. 10 Waipahu rode a 26-0 halftime lead to punch its ticket into the OIA Division I title game with a 33-14 win over Farrington Friday night at the Masa Yonamine Athletic Complex.
The Marauders rushed for 282 yards on offense while breaking up eight passes and picking off two more to notch their seventh straight win as they improved to 8-1 overall.

It was a rematch of a Sept. 9 matchup, which Waipahu won, 43-0. Facing the Governors (5-6) a second time this year dictated the Marauders' approach, Waipahu coach Bryson Carvalho said.
"The plan was to keep the ball on the ground. When you play a team twice, it's always harder," said Carvalho.
"We were fortunate enough to get ahead a little bit early. I just wanted to keep it vanilla if I could, instead of opening up the playbook."
Anieli Teleaai ran 12 times for 123 yards and a touchdown and Braeden Togafau rushed 23 times for 94 yards and a one-yard score to lead the ground game for the Marauders. Receiver-turned-quarterback Liatama Uiliata added 68 yards on the ground with two scores while tossing an 11-yard TD pass to Chazen Rodillas-Vesido just before halftime to give the Marauders a 26-point advantage at the break.
The game was littered with injuries on both sides however. Both Teleaai and Togafau dealt with cramps during the game while the Governors had three different players cycle through at quarterback.
Running back Zechariah Molitau ended up finishing the game behind center for the Governors, adding two scores in the fourth quarter to avoid the shutout. Molitau finished the game with 40 rushing yards and 24 passing yards while also catching six passes for a game-high 86 yards.
Waipahu will play the winner between Saturday's Aiea-Kailua game next weekend on Oct. 29 at Mililani's John Kauinana Stadium. Kickoff will be roughly 30 minutes after the conclusion of the 4 p.m. Division II title game between Nanakuli and Kaiser.
