Damien, Radford sweep opening round matches in Division II tourney


 



Defending Divison II state champion Damien opened up their its 2021 tournament campaign with a 25-13, 25-21, 25-19 sweep of Leilehua in the second match of the night at Kaimuki High School.

Up next for the Monarchs are the BIIF champions Hawaii Prep in the 5 p.m. game back at Kaimuki.

The late game pairs top seed and ILH champion University Lab and Radford, a 26-24, 25-22, 25-20 winner over MIL representative Molokai.
