After a back-and-forth contest that spanned nearly 150 minutes, it was Island Pacific that came out victorious Thursday night.
The Navigators outlasted Christian Academy in a five-set marathon at Hanalani's gymnasium for a pivotal 23-25, 25-23, 25-21, 16-25, 16-14 win in the ILH Division III race.
IPA's victory prevented the Patriots (7-6) from winning the league crown outright as the Navigators (6-6) now have a chance to force a playoff for the ILH D3 title with a win over Lanakila Baptist (0-12) next Tuesday.
