Sixth-ranked Kalaheo handled visiting Farrington in straight sets in the opening round of the New City Nissan Division I Boys Volleyball Championships Monday night. Set scores were 25-14, 25-18 and 25-16.

Liam York put down 18 kills and Tyler Wemple added 11 to power the Mustangs (13-2) into Thursday's quarterfinals against fourth-seeded KS-Maui. First serve is slated for 5:00 p.m. at Moanalua.

Raefe McEnroe and Chris Afe each had seven kills to lead the Governors (9-7) in their final match of the season.
