Maui became the first neighbor island school since 1995 to win the boys team title at Saturday's Honolulu Marathon Cross Country State Championships at Patsy T. Mink/Central Oahu Regional Park Saturday.

Punahou captured its seventh consecutive D1 girls championship with 15 points. Iolani was second with 50 points and Kamehameha third with 142.
The Buffanblu were paced by top-10 finishes by Kayla Almeida (fifth), Maya Mastick (eighth) and Melody Lum (ninth). It was their record 31st state championship in program history.
Hawaii Baptist swept the D2 team titles.
