After a slow start to the season, Nanakuli is beginning to turn it around.

The Golden Hawks picked up their second straight win of the season with a 25-10, 25-17 win over visiting Waipahu Monday night at Hugh Taufaasau Court.

Janae Odom had a near double-double of nine kills and seven digs to help Nanakuli improve to 2-4 in Oahu Interscholastic Association Western Division play.

Carly-Rose Letatau-Kekahuna and ShayAnn Hoohuli each had four kills to round out the Golden Hawks' leading hitters.

Cori-Ann Fitiausi had three kills to lead the Marauders (1-6) in the loss.
