Mililani overcame a handful of early errors to top host Moanalua, 9-3, Saturday afternoon in an Oahu Interscholastic Association Division I quarterfinal game, the last of the four that needed to be completed.

Although Na Menehune hosted the playoff game, the Trojans were the designated home team. The two teams were originally scheduled to play on Thursday, but inclement weather made Mililani's field unplayable. The game was first pushed back to Friday in Central Oahu, but rain and poor field conditions moved it to Moanalua on Saturday.

With the victory Mililani, ranked second in the ScoringLive/Hawaiian Electric Softball Power Rankings, moves on to take on Roosevelt, the East's top-seeded team, next Monday in the first OIA D1 semifinal at McKinley's Tiger Softball Stadium. The Trojans also locked up one of the OIA's six spots in the D1 state tournament with the win over Moanalua.

Na Menehune scored three unearned runs in the top of the first inning to take an early lead over the visiting Trojans. Mililani plated a run in the bottom of the frame, but Moanalua maintained the lead through three innings.

It wasn't until the bottom of the fourth inning when the Trojans picked up steam. Mililani rattled off four runs to take the lead, 5-3, and added four more in the sixth inning to put the game out of reach for Moanalua.

Jarae Keliikoa batted 2 for 2 with three RBIs and a run scored to lead the Trojans at the plate. Markie Okamoto also had two hits and drove in three runs. Mama Rivera rounded out the Mililani's leading batters with a double and two RBIs.

Misha Carreira earned the win in the circle, scattering four hits with five strikeouts and four walks in a complete game effort.

Kyler Tsukada was charged with the loss for Na Menehune.
