CAMP: Jocelyn Alo 2-2 run 2 rbi dbl HR; Danielle Cervantes 6.0 IP 0 ER 13 K

There's a reason many teams choose not to pitch to Jocelyn Alo.

The Campbell senior catcher hit a leadoff home run in the top of the fourth that jump-started a five-run inning to help the fourth-ranked Sabers blank host Kailua, 8-0, in the quarterfinal round of the Oahu Interscholastic Association Division I playoffs on a rainy Thursday afternoon.

The game was called in the sixth inning due to poor field conditions from the weather, but the game was well-decided before then.

Chloe Domingo also had a two-run homer in the fifth inning that effectively put the game away for the Sabers.

Danielle Cervantes earned the win in the circle while Dyani Cummings-Lani was charged with the loss.

Campbell, who also clinched a state berth with the win, will play the winner between Moanalua and Mililani in a Saturday semifinal game at McKinley's Tiger Softball stadium.
