Moanalua, Mililani win state cheerleading crowns


 



Moanalua won its second straight title at Saturday's Zippy's/HHSAA Cheerleading State Championship at Neal S. Blaisdell Center Arena.

Na Menehune claimed their third overall title with a meet-high score of 526 points, nearly 40 points better than medium division runner-up Kaiser. Waiakea was third, Iolani fourth and Kauai fifth.

Moanalua won the large division crown last year, it's first since 2003.

Mililani scored 499 1/4 points to win the large division, its second state crown overall and first since 2006.

Baldwin was the large division runner-up.
