HHSAA press releaseNovember 17, 2014, 1:10pm
Tickets for Friday's First Hawaiian Bank/Hawai'i High School Athletic Association Football State Championships doubleheader go on sale Monday, Nov. 17, at the Aloha Stadium box office and all O‘ahu First Hawaiian Bank branch locations. Tickets also will be available at First Hawaiian Bank's Lahaina and Kahana branches starting Tuesday, Nov. 18.
‘Iolani will face Lahainaluna in the Division II championship game at 4:30 p.m. at Aloha Stadium's Hawaiian Airlines Field, followed by Mililani vs. Punahou in the Division I title game at 7:30.
Title sponsor First Hawaiian Bank is helping to alleviate long lines at the Stadium by selling special discounted general admission tickets for $9, which will be available during business hours through the end of the business day Friday, Nov. 21 (while supplies last). FHB accepts cash, checks (including non-FHB checks), Visa Card, Master Card and travelers checks. Senior and student tickets will not be available at FHB.
Ticket prices at the Aloha Stadium box office are $12 general admission and $5 for students grades K-12 and seniors ages 62 and over.
The HHSAA and Aloha Stadium are encouraging football fans to buy their tickets before coming to the games on Friday to avoid long lines at the box office.
"The HHSAA would like to thank First Hawaiian Bank for allowing their branches to sell general admission championship game tickets at this special price," said Chris Chun, executive director of the HHSAA. "We appreciate First Hawaiian Bank's long standing support of Hawai‘i's high school student athletes, particularly through their title sponsorship of the football and canoe paddling state championships."
Aloha Stadium's main box office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. Friday through halftime of the Division I championship game. Aloha Stadium accepts cash only for all ticket sales.
