Pearl City leads the boys' team competition after the second day of the 41st Annual Billy Tees/Hawaii High School Athletic Association Bowling State Championships at the KBXtreme Lanes in Kailua-Kona Friday.
The defending champion Chargers lead second-place Kapolei by 249 points after six of nine games have been completed. Aiea (4776), Kauai (4719) and Moanalua (4699) round out the top five.
McKinley junior Bryce Takenaka leads the boys' individual competition with a six-game total of 1141 pins. Damien's Alika Vendiola is second with 1108 pins, and Kapolei's Travis Takamiya third with a total pin fall of 1093.
The tournament concludes Saturday.
