Free Throw Challenge nearing the finish line

Barring major miracles and/or meltdowns there will be new champions crowned in the Taco Bell Free Throw Challenge in 2014.

With just one more week until the end of league play for boys, Iolani leads the way with a 74.6 percent mark, and is also tops in free throws made (129). Campbell is in second at 70.9 and Saint Louis sits in third at 66.9.

Kaliua leads all teams in free throws attempted amongst the top 20 with 205.

On the girls side, University High's 65.9 percent mark is tops, with Kamehameha in second at 60 and Moanalua close behind at 59.9.

However at the time of this blog posts, all three of the teams in front do not have free throw stats reported for every league game this season, and thus are not eligible to win the contest. Meaning, if the contest were to end today, Maryknoll would be the highest eligible team at 58.6 percent.

So if your favorite team has games with stats missing (particularly University High, Kamehameha and Moanalua girls' squads), please let the coaching staff know that they should make sure to get missing games submitted to us as soon as possible!
