Hawaii Baptist held off a second-half charge to defeat the Jr. Rainbows, 39-38, in battle for first place in ILH Division II.

The Eagles led 28-17 at halftime, but University High responded with a 13-7 third quarter to pull within 5.

Kayla Yamamoto led the Eagles with 13 points, who improved their regular season record to 11-1.

University High got 16 points from forward Quynne Eharis in the loss.

The Jr. Rainbows are 11-2 in ILH Division II play.
