Campbell rode the pitching of Hunter Lindsey and timely offense in a 2-1 win over Hilo in the semifinals of the Wally Yonamine Foundation/HHSAA Divsion I Baseball championships.

The Sabers led 1-0 heading into the fourth inning, when the Vikings pulled even at 1-all when Jayden Soriano came home to score on a Koa Marzo single, and looking for more with a runner still on base and one out, but a double play on the next at-bat ended the threat.

Campbell registered only five hits in the game, but got them at the right time for sure. Slade Sarono was able to leg out a bunt single with one out, then advanced to second on a wild pitch. He then came home to score the go-ahead run on a Cason Eliptico-Quinata single to left. Hilo turned a double play of its own on the next at-bat to end the inning, but that run proved to ultimately be the difference.

Hilo only managed one more hit the rest of the way, and no base runner got beyond first.

Lindsey needed just 81 pitches to go the distance, allowing just one unearned run on four hits, outdueling his Vikings' counterpart Dylan Villanueva, who gave up just two runs on four hits in four innings of work.
