» ORIGINAL GAME RECAP: Kalani holds off never-say-die Roosevelt, 10-6

Running back Ace Faumui carried the load and defensive back Dunavan Hahn sealed the game in Kalani's 10-6 win over Roosevelt at Ticky Vasconcellos Stadium on Sept. 5, 2014.

After a scoreless first quarter, Kalani got on the board first with on Marc Teshima's 32-yard field goal at the 8:38 mark of the second. Roosevelt countered as Mana Kohooilihala connected with Shayne Teruya for a 52-yard strike with 2:35 left until halftime to give the Rough Riders the edge at the break, 6-3.

The Falcons took the lead back on a three-yard run up the middle by Faumui with 9:32 left in regulation. The junior running back finished the contest with 14 carries for 151 yards on the ground, both game highs.

With a little over two minutes left and Roosevelt set up in the Kalani red-zone on third down, Hahn picked off Kohooilihala as he tried to hit a receiver in the right corner of the end-zone, sealing the win for the Falcons.
