Anae, Muti, Gilman taken on final day of NFL Draft




Four players with ties to Hawaii were selected on the final day of the 2020 National Football League Draft.

Edge rusher Bradlee Anae (Utah/Kahuku '16) was selected by the Dallas Cowboys with the 34th pick of the fifth round (No. 179 overall).

 

 

A few selections later, the Denver Broncos drafted offensive guard Netane Muti (Fresno State/Leilehua '16) with the second pick of the sixth round (No. 181 overall).

 

 

Shortly after, safety Alohi Gilman (Notre Dame/Kahuku '15) was taken with the seventh pick of the sixth round (No. 186 overall) by the Los Angeles Chargers.

 

 

Former University of Hawaii quarterback Cole McDonald was also selected, going to the Tennessee Titans with the 10th pick of the seventh round (No. 224 overall).

 

 

Following the conclusion of the draft, it was announced defensive lineman Breiden Fehoko (Los Angeles Chargers; LSU/Farrington '15), defensive back Rojesterman Farris II (Atlanta Falcons; Hawaii) and receiver JoJo Ward (Arizona Cardinals; Hawaii) had signed undrafted free agent deals with an NFL team.

Previously on the first day of the NFL Draft, Saint Louis '17 grad Tua Tagovailoa was taken with the No. 5 overall pick by the Miami Dolphins.
