Iolani, which placed third in last season's state tournament, is ranked No. 13 in Perfect Game USA's Pacific Region Top 15 season preview.
The Raiders finished 17-6-1 in 2018, as well as runner-ups in the Interscholastic League of Honolulu's Division I.
All-Hawaii First Team senior outfielder Shane Sasaki was picked by the website for its Pacific Region High School Dream Team. Sasaki batted .448 with 21 runs scored and 14 RBI in 22 games. The other 13 selections are from California high schools.
Iolani has been off to a hot start in 2019, going 8-2 in the preseason, according to a team's Game Changer page. The month-long slate of games culminated with the 39th Annual Mid-Pacific/Kitamura Tournament where Iolani repeated as champs after defeating Punahou 20-8 in five innings. They were also winners of their own annual Clem Hew Tournament after defeating Radford, 1-0.
The ILH opens the season March 5.
