Four players scored eight points or more to help Moanalua fend off visiting Kaiser, 42-34, in the opening round of the Snapple Division I Girls Basketball Championships Monday night.
Kylie Casinas splashed three treys and Delylah Sanerivi had eight points and 12 boards to power Na Menehune into Thursday's quarterfinal round, where they will face defending state champion Konawaena at McKinley's Student Council Gymnasium. Tip-off is slated for 5:00 p.m.
Kylee Mahiko had nine points and eight rebounds to lead the Cougars in their season-ending loss.
