Stephen Lee threw a complete-game five-hitter and Maui Gaison drove in three runs to lead Castle to an 8-1 win over Kaiser in an Oahu Interscholastic Association Division I East baseball game in Kaneohe Wednesday afternoon.
The Knights (7-4) won their fourth consecutive game by posting nine hits and scoring early and often against the Cougars (8-4), who have now dropped two of their last three outings.
Castle scored a pair of runs in the first and second innings andhad an 8-0 lead after four. Logan Madrona led the hit parade with a three singles. He also scored twice and walked once. Alakai Kim hit a two-run triple, Chase Kalama walked three times and scored twice. Lee struck out five and walked three in his fourth complete game this season. He is now 3-1 with a 1.09 ERA on the year.
Emmett Garcia drove in Chase Hisatake for Kaiser's only run of the game in the top of the sixth inning. Steven Miyata was the losing pitcher after surrending six runs on six hits in three innings.
