Led by Casey Poe and Riana Arima, two-time defending state champion Kamehameha-Hawaii took down Farrington, 64-58, in a quarterfinal matchup of the HHSAA Division II Girls Basketball championships at Kalani High School.
Poe poured in 28 points and 10 rebounds, and also added four blocks and 3 steals, while Arima scored 24 points and 5 steals.
The Warriors led 20-10 after the first quarter, but Farrington clawed their way back to make it a 31-25 game at the half.
Farrington's frontcourt duo of Penina Faumui and Jeneva Toilolo scored 28 and 20 points respectively, and also pulled down a combined 38 rebounds in the loss.
Up next for the Warriors is Hawaii Baptist, a 41-31 win over Castle.
