KANE'OHE - Jaymason Lee completed 5 of 8 passes for 126 yards and two touchdowns and Castle came up with two defensive TDs in the first half last night as the Knights rolled past Damien, 35-0, in interleague action.

The Knights improved to 2-1 overall, while the Monarchs dropped to 0-3.

After Castle's opening drive stalled near midfield, the Knights' defense forced a three-and-out and Lee capitalized immediately, connecting with Joshua Kong on a crossing route over the middle which Kong turned into a 61-yard scoring play by racing past the Damien secondary. Adam Aquino's extra point made it 7-0 with 7:19 remaining in the first quarter.

Later in the quarter, Kong recovered a fumble on the Monarchs' 16-yard line and Lee again quickly took advantage, hitting Jaques Hough in the back right corner of the end zone to give Castle a 13-0 lead. An errant snap led to a failed conversion attempt, but the Knights scored again four plays later when Moses Alimoot intercepted a pass and returned it 29 yards for a touchdown. Backup quarterback Sabu Kekoanui's two-point conversion run put Castle up, 21-0, with 2:38 still left in the quarter.

A bad punt snap early in the second quarter resulted in another defensive score for the Knights, as Jacob Marrtin scooped up the loose ball in the end zone. Castle made it 35-0 with 7:23 before halftime after Cy Pana's 1-yard TD plunge, which was set up by Lee's 42-yard pass to Teawe Olds.

The Knights defense limited Damien to 56 total yards, all on the ground.
