Player of the Year: Josyah Napoleon-Umeda, Honokaa, Sr., P/OF

A dual-threat to say the least, Napoleon-Umeda was a key cog in a Dragons' lineup plenty potent without him. The senior utility hit .577 on the season with 32 runs and 22 RBIs, and added seven doubles, three triples and six home runs for good measure. Those totals placed him in the top three in every single one of those categories amongst Division II players.  He racked up multi-hit games in 11 of 17 contests and plated at least one run in every game he played. In the Division II title game, Napoleon-Umeda dazzled on the mound, throwing a complete game three-hit shutout, striking out nine and walking just three. His statline for the season as a pitcher? A 0.42 ERA in 33 2/3 innings pitched, amassing a 7-0 record with 59 strikeouts and 16 walks.

Coach of the Year: Waylon Salazar, Honokaa

Salazar guided a senior laden team to an undefeated run through the regular season and a spotless postseason en route to the Dragons' first ever state title in baseball. Honokaa won via mercy rule eight times and posted 10 shutouts on the year, two of those coming in the state tourney. Its closest contest was in the state semifinals, where it got past Kauai, 5-2. Seven players move on due to graduation this year, including All-Hawaii Player of the Year Napoleon-Umeda and first teamers Rory Crabbe and Isaac Derego.
