Nanakuli totaled nine blocks to top Kalaheo in straight sets in the opening round of the OIA Division I girls volleyball playoffs.

ShayAnn Hoohuli had 10 kills, seven digs and the match-ending ace to help the Golden Hawks (6-5) advance to the quarterfinals, where they will meet fifth-ranked and unbeaten Moanalua (11-0).

Moanikeala Paz-Powell added seven kills and four blocks and Ella Comelison chipped in six kills and five total blocks to round out Nanakuli's top hitters.

Kylie Wolff and Elle Foehr each had 10 kills to lead the Mustangs, who saw their season end with a 6-6 record in OIA play.
