The University of Hawai'i Warriors will play its first Mountain West Conference game when it plays host to Nevada, Saturday, Sept. 22 at Hawaiian Airlines Field at Aloha Stadium.
The game will be televised nationally on NBC Sports Network and will kick off at 4:30 p.m.
The Warriors (1-1) won their first game under head coach Norm Chow last Saturday, a 54-2 rout of Lamar. In the win, UH scored twice on special teams and did not allow any points defensively for the first time since 2005.
Nevada enters the game with a 2-1 record including a 45-34 victory over Northwestern State last week in Reno. The Wolf Pack gained 655 yards of total offense in the win and is currently ranked ninth nationally, averaging 551.3 yards per game.
The game marks the first played in the Mountain West for both teams. Both schools, along with Fresno State, joined the conference this season.
Historically, the teams have met 16 previous times, with each team notching 8 wins against 8 losses. The Warriors have won the last seven meetings in Honolulu, with Nevada’s last road win over Hawaii occurring in 1948.
