Kapolei upends fourth seed Hilo, 14-0, in five innings

Kacee Navarro threw a one-hit shutout, and Kapolei pounded out 13 hits to reach the Division I semifinals of the DataHouse State Softball Championships at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium with a 13-0 defeat of fourth-seed Hilo.

Aimee Aipa went 2-for-3 with a double, a home run and 3 RBIs to lead the way for Kapolei. Navarro also contributed at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a double and 3 RBI.

Kapolei will take on top-seed and defending state champion Mid-Pacific in the 7:00 p.m. semifinal.
