Kailua scored three runs in the second inning and then snuffed out a rally by Kaiser in the top of the seventh yesterday to win, 3-1, in the O'ahu Interscholastic Association baseball semifinals.

The Surfriders improved to 13-1 in league play and will face Eastern Division rival Moanalua (11-3) in today's 5:30 p.m. championship game at Hans L'Orange Park. The Cougars fell to 10-5 and into today's 1 p.m. third place game at Pearl City (8-6).

Wyatt D'Alessio hit a two-out, two-run double that fell just out of the reach of the diving right fielder to highlight the three-run second inning.

Kaiser loaded the bases with no outs after Jordan Simao's perfectly placed bunt in the seventh, but closer Kea Vierra got a strikeout and double play to end the game.
