Kamehameha boys rally past Maryknoll, 53-52

In a see-saw battle whose outcome came down to the final possession, Kamehameha edged Maryknoll, 53-52.

Austin Gerard sank two clutch free throws with less than 5 seconds to rnplay to stretch the Warriors lead to three. On the ensuing possession, rnthe ball was inbounded to Austin Gaskins, who passed the ball ahead to rnIsaiah Dowdell on the left wing. Dowdell launched a desperation rnthree-pointer that would have tied the game, that Gaskins tipped as the rnbuzzer sounded to inch the Spartans to within a single point as the gamern ended.

The Warriors improved to 7-5, while the Spartans fell to 6-6.

Zerin Parker and Dyrbe Enos combined for 31 points to lead Kamehameha.

The Spartans frontcourt duo of Gaskins and center Tobias Schramm led the way for Maryknoll with 17 points and 14 respectively.
