OIA boys' soccer tournaments start Tuesday


The Oahu Interscholastic Association Red and White boys' soccer tournaments start Tuesday at various sites.

In the Red, West champion Kapolei and runner-up Mililani, as well as East champion Kalani and runner-up Kaiser, draw first-round byes.

In Red opening round games Tuesday at Pearl City's Bino Neves Stadium, Aiea will play Roosevelt at 5:30 p.m. and Kalaheo will take on Pearl City at 7 p.m.

At Moanalua, Kailua plays Campbell at 5:30 p.m. and Leilehua meets Moanalua at 7 p.m.

In Wednesday's quarterfinals at Kapolei, Kaiser will play the winner of Pearl City-Kalaheo at 5:30 p.m., and the host Hurricanes will take on the winner of Roosevelt-Aiea at 7 p.m.

In quarterfinals at Kaiser, Mililani plays the winner of Moanalua-Leilehua at 5:30 p.m. and Kalani battles the winner of Campbell-Kailua at 7 p.m.

The semifinals are 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Thursday at Kapolei with the championship set for 7 p.m. Saturday, also at Kapolei.

In the six-team White tournament, East top seed Kahuku and West top seed Waianae draw first-round byes.

In Tuesday's openers at Radford's John Velasco Stadium, Castle plays Nanakuli at 5:30 p.mm. and Farrington takes on Radford at 7 p.m.

In semifinals at Waianae, Kahuku will play the winner of Radford-Farrington at 5:30 p.m. and Waianae will meet the winner of Castle-Nanakuli at 7 p.m.

The championship is 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Kapolei.
