Hilltoppers coast to Lopes title over KS-Hawaii, 79-57

CJ Good and Zach Howard combined for 37 points to lead Tennessee powerhouse Science Hill over Kamehameha-Hawaii, 79-57, in the title game of the 6th Annual St. Francis-Merv Lopes Hoops Classic at Manoa Gym.

Good's team-high 22 point total included five three-pointers. Howard added 15 points and three more triples, as four Hilltoppers scored in double figures.

Science Hill made a total of 13 threes in the contest.

The Warriors held their own against the Hilltoppers, staying within 4 points after one quarter, but trailed by 42-31 at the half. But a 22-11 third quarter spurt put Science Hill in control, and defending Hoops Classic champion Kamehameha-Hawaii never found a way back into the game.

Shaun Kagawa led the Warriors with 25 points, five of them from beyond the arc.
