Mid-Pacific rolls over Baldwin, 13-1

Keiki Carlos pitched as two-hitter and Tasi Docktor drove in three runs to lead second-seeded Mid-Pacific over Baldwin, 13-1, in a quarterfinal of the DataHouse Division I state softball tournament Wednesday at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.

The game was called after six innings because of the 10-run differential mercy rule.

The Owls will play Leilehua in a semfinal at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Carlos allowed an unearned run and a walk, while striking out five in her complete-game win.

Lindsey Matoi, Docktor, Kaydi Kochi and Carlos each had three hits for the Owls, who had 17.

Baldwin starter Kaitlyn Watanabe was tagged for nine runs (eight earned), 11 hits and a walk in 2 1/3 innings for the Bears.
