Kamehameha wins 12th straight ILH cheer championship


Kamehameha won its 12 straight Interscholastic League of Honolulu cheerleading championship last night at its own Kekeuhaupi'o Gym.

The Warriors scored 316 points, comfortably ahead of runner-up Punahou (269.5) and Pac-Five (258.5). All three teams will advance to the Zippy's/Hawai'i High School Athletic Association State Championships Dec. 4 at the University of Hawai'i's Stan Sheriff Center.

Other teams competing last night were 'Iolani (247.5), Hawai'i Baptist (206), Saint Louis (204.5) and Saint Francis (193.5).
